barb graduated

This past weekend Eric and I flew to OH for my sister Barbara's college graduation from Ohio Wesleyan University! On Saturday we attended a Phi Beta Kappa ceremony (it's an honors society) and then in usual Eldredge form we shopped for the rest of the afternoon. The actual graduation ceremony was on Sunday and has always been held outside if the weather cooperates. Well, the weather wasn't nice this particular Sunday so the graduation was held in a small gym with the oldest bleaches known to man. My grandmother's cousin Marcelle is 91 years old and they had to practically carry her up the bleachers because she's old and the bleachers didn't really have stairs, kind of sad. As we looked through the graduation program we began to notice Barb's name on almost every page. I think we counted her name in there about 9 times; each for different awards and recognitions... a very proud moment for the family! The weekend was really nice and definitely went by too fast. We won't see Barb again until our cousin's wedding in October, tear. Now she's in Cody, WY to hang out with our parents for a couple weeks, then she's off to Williamstown, MA for a theater internship for 3 months, and she'll most likely finally end up in New York, NY doing lighting and set design. Good Luck Barb, we love you very much!!!
