valentine's day

Valentine's Day was the best ever, here's the story...

It's no secret that Eric and I love to gamble, so we thought it was only fitting to spend our Valentine's Day at a casino (I think we went to a casino for Valentine's Day last year too!).

We decided to check out Clearwater Casino on Bainbridge Island since I've never been to Bainbridge and I think Eric only went once when he was younger. The ferry ride over was fun, but cold, and we only spent about 5 minutes on the top deck outside to get a few pictures.

When we got there Eric wanted to have lunch at the Harbour Public House, a little pub next to the marina. The Harbour Pub is a great little spot right on the water's edge, wonderful view. They have a bar area and about 15-20 tables, so it's very quaint and cozy; I highly recommend it if you're ever in Bainbridge!

After lunch we drove by the golf course to check it out (Eric of course decided we have to go back there to golf this summer), and then went to the casino. The casino wasn't nearly as big as Tulalip, but it was nice and not very busy at 2pm on a Saturday. We played some roulette, I won a little and Eric lost a little, and then sat in the lounge for a while to chat.

At about 5pm we decided it was probably time to go but we wanted to try our hand at the craps table for a few minutes before heading home. I've only played craps a couple times and I was never very good at it but for some reason lady luck was on our side because this table just kept heating up! There were a few super hot rollers and before we knew it it was 6 hours later and nearly midnight!!! By the time we quit we had more than tripled our money and left with over $1,000 and some great craps strategies!

Our romantic valentine's dinner ended up being McDonald's on our way to catch the midnight ferry home.

Happy Valentine's Day to us!
