the reception

Sara and Josh Olson were married on 6/21/08 in Las Vegas, but they had their reception on 6/28 in Pomeroy, WA. Eric and I of course attended the Pomeroy reception and had a great time as usual.

The reception hall was beautifully decorated in black, white and red (sorry I don't have a picture). And instead of the traditional cake they broke a huge fortune cookie with a little bride and groom iced on it. They wrote a note to each other to go in the big cookie and each guest got a regular size fortune cookie with a thank you note. It was a really neat idea and very unique! They are saving the little bride and groom piece of cookie to eat on their one year anniversary. Josh also made a slide show of he and Sara, but it was pretty funny because they are the type that always take the picture themselves (you know, someone just extends their arm out and snaps a photo). So basically, all the pictures of them were exactly the same and you couldn't tell where they were or what they were doing, it was just 50 pictures of their faces.

All in all a fun filled weekend.
