AAPA

I am very pleased to announce that I now have an AAPA insurance designation. AAPA stands for Associate, Annuity Product Administration. The designation consists of 5 exams on various areas of the insurance and annuities business, such as: marketing, distribution, uses, systems, administration, financial aspects, and regulation and taxation.

It has taken me a little less than 2 years to complete all the exams and I've heard that I'm the only person in my department who has achieved the designation. A few colleagues have taken 2-3 exams, but no one has taken all 5 except for me. I'm just so happy that it's finally over and now I get new business cards that will say "Lindsay K. Dixon, AAPA"...pretty exciting!
