another tile update

I'm sure everyone is wondering why I haven't posted anything about our new tile - because it's not done yet. The only thing left to do is the grout and we've been having some issues with that...here's the story:

When we bought the tiles I also bought a couple small boxes of grout to test and decide which color we liked better. A few days after the tiles set we tried the grout on the area where the refrigerator will sit (so we can just leave it no matter if we liked it or not, and to also get the fridge out of the dinning room asap). The grout box did not have any instructions on it so we just assumed it's the type that mixes with water - WRONG. We didn't know any better at the time so we worked hard and made it look nice and then let it set overnight; but when Eric checked it in the morning it was sand again (basically the water just evaporated and we were back to the original product). So we looked up the product online and discovered you have to use a special adhesive to make the grout actually work. So i just vacuumed up the old stuff and prepared the area again.

Eric has now been running all over town this week trying to find the right kind of grout with the color we want. Needless to say, we have not found the right stuff and therefore have not finished the floors yet. This weekend will now be dedicated to grout and getting our fridge back into the kitchen.
